Ronna
Schneberger is a pioneer in combining yoga philosphies, natural history, and hiking in the Canadian Rockies. With a degree in Recreation Management, she is the first guide to have both guiding and yoga certifications in the Mountain National Parks. It is her goal to help people develop a reverence
for this wondrous place, and teach them how to enhance their personal connection
with nature and themselves where ever they live.
Ronna has been teaching yoga in the Bow Valley for 10 years. She did her first teacher training in Banff, AB with Ann Douglas in 1999. Since then she has gone on to study Anusara Yoga with John Friend, Todd Norian, the Kirks, and Betsy Downing (Ronna has over 700 hours of teacher training). Anusara yoga, developed by John Friend, is currently the fastest growing Hatha yoga system in North America. Anusara means “to flow with grace” or “to follow your heart”. It is unique in that it powerfully combines art of the human spirit with the science of biomechanics. In each class she balances the celebration of one’s heart with structural alignment principles, helping students align and open inside and out. She is deeply grateful to her teachers for their wisdom and guidance.
